The newly constructed 5-storey building well-built within the main school ground of St. Vincent’s College Incorporated to accommodate the demands of its increasing population on more conducive classrooms, elegant offices space. And state of the art facilities.
New look, new name, and a new building. St. Vincent’s College Incorporated continues to go beyond the typical college feeling with newly-made fifth edifice. Step into the Administrative building and gawk at its glory. Students, faculty and staff can’t help but be proud to have that ‘University’ impression from friends, families, and guests.
Thew hole building is composed of five floors with double stairways to avoid traffic and collision. On the ground floor is where the Registrar’s Office and Accounting Office are located. With an open concept plan, the massive space of the lobby will benefit the students. This will spare them from the heat and rain during the enrollment and exam period. The well-organized and thought-out floor plan also makes it easier for them to secure signatures from the different offices.
The Graduate and Post Graduate Office, TAC Office, Senior High School Office, Vice President for Academic Affairs Office, Center for Community Extension and Linkages, and Office of the President/Office of the Executive Vice President are all located on the second floor.
The 2nd and 3rd level house 20 classrooms. Splashes of elegant white color on the walls and sturdy chairs for studying reflect a professional learning space. When students and their families see this, they’re already cued to expect something different.
Speaking of learning space, the edifice will not be complete without the all-important library. Located on the top-most level of the building, the library serves as a sanctuary for students who want to escape from noisy decibels of the outside world. It can now accommodate more student-researchers and in compliance with the prescribed requirements of governing authorities namely the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
A covered cross-bridge connects both the San Pedro Calungsod building and the Saint Ignatius Loyola building which makes the walk to the library quite an exercise but it is worth it. This building is communicating a different kind of vibe for Vincentians. It is a vibe that is hushed but forward-looking and ambitious.
“The way I see it and heard from the top management, this building is intended for the convenience of both students and employees. I am happy for the next generation because they are provided with beautiful buildings and good facilities. St. Vincent’s College Incorporated is very different now. I’m sure the new generation will cherish their stay in this Institution. Congratulations St. Vincent’s College Incorporated.”
–Fabiola C. Sia, Registrar Head
Truly, the new building will benefit the school especially the students. Strong and bold, this fifth edifice will withstand the test of time.
