The PNP and the BFP gave awareness to SVCI Employees about Campus Security and Safety Plan

The Philippine National Police visited SVCI to discuss “Security and Safety Matters and Contingency Plan” at the Audio-Visual Room yesterday, September 12.

The PNP explained ways on how to respond and handle emergency situations such as bomb threats and natural calamities and disasters. This is aimed to raise awareness of teachers, especially to security guards to ensure students’ welfare and security.

The first speaker for the orientation was a representative from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) who discussed how the school should respond to emergencies like fires, earthquakes and tsunamis.

SPO4 Zotico E. Calago, the second speaker, discussed tips and warnings related to Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) and on how to take precaution during a bomb threat.

The third and final speaker was SPO1 Marlon C. Cuaresma who explained the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) 101 Basic Components and Awareness.

The orientation was aimed at raising awareness of school personnel on how to better handle emergency situations and calamities. The school is expected to implement a better method in securing students’ safety.
