SVCI Student Leaders and Advisers join Philippine Association of Campus Student Advisers (PACSA)

Sixteen (16) college student leaders with one (1) adviser and two (2) Senior High School student leaders with one (1) adviser linked with various institutions in the country during the Philippine Association of Campus Student Advisers (PACSA) with the theme, “Promoting Academic and Extra-curricular Advancements with Pursuing Advocacies in Community Service,” last November 25-28, 2017 at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City, Philippines.

The 4-day seminar and team building activities was headed by the first Mindanao President of PACSA, Professor Romer I. Libona from St. Alexius College. Student leaders and advisers from different colleges and universities in the country participated the event including student leaders and advisers from SVCI who was the only school in the whole Region IX that joined the said event.

Hon. Cynthia A. Villar, Atty. Hilario Caraan, Hon. Richard Gomez, Hon. Gina Lopez and Hon. Fortunato dela Peña were the keynote speakers of the seminars during PACSA. The seminars mainly focused on the leadership and governance, environment/community extension, research and development. Meanwhile, Professor Marlon Jay Baysa was the facilitator of the team building activities for students and Professor Maria Rosario Aranda who administered the presentation of output for advisers.

The event was ended by the closing message from the Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines Hon. Maria Leonor G. Robredo, whose message was delivered by her spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez on the last day (Nov. 28). The SVCI student leaders and advisers received their Certificate of Appearance and Recognition after the closing program.
